WHAT IS NIOBIUM?
Niobium is a gray metallic chemical element, No. 41 on the
periodic table with an atomic weight of 92.906. It's name is derived
from Niobe, a mythical Grecian queen. When an electric current is
passed through Niobium, it oxidizes, refracting many rich colours
depending on the voltage. It, along with Titanium, are known as
Refractory Metals, or Reactive Metals because of this phenomenon.
